Hi everyone, we are very happy to announce a new date for our cinema fundraiser initially planned in April. We will be holding the event on the 3rd October. We are aware that this is short notice but we would like to seize the opportunity to hold the event while the film director Manuela Frésil is in the area. Also in such unsure times, we prefer to go ahead with an event now putting in place all the necessary protection measures. For those who are unaware of this event, here is more information: Who are the children that Lake Aid helps? Where do they come from? Why are they here? How do they live? Please join us on Saturday 3rd Oct, at Talloires Cinema, to find out more about the lives of Annecy’s homeless and asylum-seeking children. Lake Aid is proud to present The Good Wheat and the Tares, a critically acclaimed documentary film following Annecy’s homeless children during the cold winter of 2015. Manuela Fresil, film-maker will be present to discuss the making of the film, as well as answer your questions. The film follows the children in their daily lives – heading off to school every morning, often not knowing where they will sleep that night. Yet despite the uncertainty, they still find time to play, to dance, to laugh.Tickets are 10€, 5€ of which go directly to Lake Aid. The other 5€ cover the film distribution costs. You can buy your tickets here:https://www.helloasso.com/…/lake-aid-film-and…Thank you!
