A beautiful star watched over us on this Wednesday, May 1, 2024! Bad weather was expected, which would have given a very different tone to this garage sale experience in the center of the village of Talloires. But the sun made an appearance and allowed us to display 6m² of clothes, books, toys, games, household appliances, home decoration items, outdoor games for children… so many donations graciously donated by our volunteers and contributors.
The day was busy, the village main street filled with stands and tables… Our very long stand (part of which was donated by Lisa, an artist in the villlage) and a simple pricing policy (everything at €2! or almost!) made everyone happy: children, parents, those up for a bargain and in need looking for good deals. It was in a joyful and friendly atmosphere that the association was able to collect €800! What a pleasure also to see all these games, clothes and books recycled, finding a new home, getting a “second life”.
A big thank you to all our donors, to the volunteers who collected, sorted and then helped sell all these treasures!
