Join us for the screening of L’Histoire de Souleyman at the Talloires cinema on November 26, 2024, at 8:30 p.m., as part of the Festival des Résistances!
L’Histoire de Souleyman is a moving film that tells the story of Souleyman, a young man from West Africa who decides to travel to Europe in search of a better life. This feature film, inspired by real events, explores the challenges and sacrifices faced by many migrants while highlighting the hopes and disappointments of a quest for freedom. Through Souleyman’s perspective, the film immerses us in a poignant human journey, exposing the harsh reality of exile, the courage needed to overcome obstacles, and the solidarity that forms among those who share this difficult path.
The association Lake Aid from Talloires-Menthon will be present at this screening to introduce its work supporting young migrants in precarious situations. These young people will share their stories and experiences of the support they receive.
To learn more about the young asylum seekers Lake Aid helps, read our upcoming article on “Toussaint’s Journey”, who arrived in Annecy as a child from the Democratic Republic of Congo five years ago.
