LAKE AID celebrates solidarity festival FESTISOL

In 2024, the national theme of the solidarity festival FESTISOL was “Environment and human rights”. To celebrate this, Lake Aid put on an exhibition at a number of locations in November last year.

The exhibition “Artists and Diversities” was produced by the ACHAC collective and brought together 12 panels describing how migrants from many countries had contributed to France’s artistic notoriety over a 100-year period: Charles Aznavour, Louis de Funès, Yves Montand, Laurent Voulzy, Princess Erika, Djamel Debouze, Omar Sy,…

The exhibition was visible at the Lycée Louis LACHENAL, at the Collège Raoul BLANCHARD, at the solidarity weekend in Meythet, and at the Talloires cinema.

Highlights:

– November 13: the conference “Human Migrations and Nature Migrations”, hosted by Antoine ROUILLON with Pascal BLANCHARD, a French historian and researcher specialising in migration, and Rémy PERIN, a ranger in the Haute Savoie Asters nature reserves

– November 23 and 24: a weekend celebrating solidarity with all the associations of the Annecy region in Meythet

– November 26, as part of the Resistance festival and in collaboration with the Talloires cinema, a representation of Boris Lojkine’s film “The Story of Souleymane” followed by testimonies from young people supported by Lake Aid in recent years
