Montée de la Tournette 2021 – Enrol now!

Support Team Lake Aid in the Ascent of La Tournette 2021 on Sunday 5th September.

For the 4th consecutive year, Lake Aid is taking part in the legendary hike/run race “La Montée de La Tournette”. On Sunday 5th September, a team of Lake Aid volunteers and friends will climb the tallest mountain around Lake Annecy. The event starts at Talloires Port (447 metres) and finishes at the summit of La Tournette (2,351 metres).

300 hikers and runners of all levels will take on the challenge this year. The team will walk or run to the summit, gaining 2,000 meters of altitude, to raise money for Lake Aid. This local charity, run entirely by volunteers, promotes the integration of asylum-seeking and homeless families living in the Annecy region.

There are three ways you can help:

1. Join the Team! Please run or hike with us as a Lake Aid Team Donor. We welcome all levels of runners and hikers. Train with us, or simply join us on the 5th of September. We ask that you contribute 25€ to the Lake Aid Team and you will receive a beautiful Team Lake Aid t-shirt and buff! Please note this fee does not include the registration fee for La Montée de la Tournette (18€ for runners, 15€ for walkers).

As a Lake Aid Team Member, please help us raise funds for Lake Aid by sharing this page with your friends and family.

2. If you don’t want to climb the mountain, you can also help by making a contribution to Lake Aid by donating any amount.

As an idea:

  • 10€ allows us to take young isolated minors on a full-day bike ride with rented bikes;
  • 20€ is our contribution to take one child to the 3 Valleys for a day of skiing;
  • 30€ means we can take one child to the Secours Populaire Christmas party and give them a nice present;
  • 50€ is the cost of a school bag full of all the materials a child needs to start school; and,
  • 60€ will send one child on a week-long vacation in summer with one of Lake Aid’s charity partners.

3. Help find us a corporate sponsor to finance our t-shirts!

In order for Lake Aid to put 100% of the proceeds towards helping the children, we are looking for a corporate sponsor that would be able to cover the cost of the team t-shirts! This cost would be around 600€.
